Oprah Winfrey

In 1986, Oprah Winfrey became the first African American woman to host a nationally viewed daily talk show with the debut of The Oprah Winfrey Show. At its conclusion in 2011, the show had lasted for an astounding 25 seasons and had inspired audiences for over two decades. Outside of Oprah, Winfrey has dedicated a large part of her life to her philanthropic work with her Angel’s Network raising over $50 million for charities worldwide.

"This is what I know for sure: In order to be truly happy, you must live along with and you have to stand for something larger than yourself. Because life is a reciprocal exchange. To move forward, you have to give back." – Oprah Winfrey
