Jane Goodall

Women's History Month - March 6th

On her first study in Kenya in 1960, Jane Goodall said, “Now, we must define tool, redefine man.” She was a woman who “spoke for those who could not speak for themselves” and carried that message throughout her life. She was named Dame of the British Empire, United Nations Messenger of Peace, and listed in Time Magazine’s European Heros all just for that message and working by it. Conducting environmental and zoological research with love and peace in a way that spoke past gender, creed, and even species.
