Andrea Jung is a trailblazer and role model especially for women in the world of business. In 1999 she became the first female CEO at Avon. Serving in this position from 1999 to 2012, she also became the longest serving female executive of a Fortune 500 company in history. Andrea Jung has served as a director of influential companies like General Electric and Apple. Her accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. In 2009 she was featured on Fortune magazine's list of “50 Most Powerful Women in Business”. She was also named number 25 on Forbes magazine’s list, “The 100 Most Powerful Women”. After her retirement from Avon in 2012 she still turns up on The Wall Street Journal’s “50 Women to Watch.”
